"The Russian government is in the process of drafting a law to make emo and goth music illegal, says the Moscow Times.
The Novgorod regional education department issued a letter to all schools in the region with a description of emo culture, saying the "dream of every [emo] is to die in a warm bath from the blood of cutting their wrists. Emo ideology encourages and justifies drug use and sexual relations among minors, according to the bill, which also lumps emos and goths together with skinheads."
[link]....That...is...so stupid, it's laughable. What is russia thinking? It like saying any person who likes rap music and wears baggy clothes is going to go join a street gang and deal drugs, or anyone who likes country music is some homophobic redneck, or if young girls listen to pop songs, they'll turn into preteen whores who get pregnant at the age of 14.
Just another addition of idiotcy on the planet. It's not really going to effect me as I'm not a russian citizen, but still, it's a pretty stupid thing to make a law against.
